First Otakon Rant

So it’s Friday night at Otakon and I have a few things I need to get off my chest. First off, since when is dressing like Lady Gaga cosplay and/or appropriate for an anime convention. I’ve seen 2 that’s right 2 Lady Gagas and it was the same damn outfit!

Number Two the bracelet policy, not that they have it but that it’s for the over 18 people. Yeah if you are over 18 and want to go into an 18+ panel you have to get a bracelet saying you’re 18 or over. Cecil and I went to go watch the new Funimation show Master of Martial Hearts and apparently it was 18+ so the girl at the door gave us attitude and told us we had to go get a bracelet.  It’s fine if you want to have a restriction on certain panels but make the underage kids wear the damn bracelet not the adults. Really they should just do what Tekkoshocon did and highlight the under 18 people’s badges.

And for my third and final grief steampunk, now don’t get me wrong I like steampunk but it’s not anime and there are people in steampunk costumes all over the place here. There is even a rather large booth in the dealers room selling nothing but steampunk costumes and accessories. They have their own conventions so they should wear their costumes then and make anime costumes for the anime con.

Well I think that’s all for now. I’ll be back tomorrow with more for you all.

Site Updates & Minor Fixes

Hey Gang,

I have been busy preparing for Otakon 2010, and that means I have been updating and tweaking the web site. Most changes have been very minor fixes, for example the alignment issue in IE. The most noticeable is the Vidz Page has been updated, which now has a High Quality version of our intro theme. Also, notable is the intergration of user account between WP and PHPBB. Now you can us your account from the forums to comment on the main pages of the site.

There are still a few minor changes that still need to be addressed. I am working on these fixes as I find them, but if you know of anything that need to be addressed, no matter how minor it is. Please Contact Me via the Contact Us Page.
